A NUMBER of Bromsgrove businesses have been commended for their continued commitment to providing high quality food safety standards in honour of World Food Safety Day on June 7.
The 25 businesses including restaurants, cafes, take-aways and catering vans have achieved the new Triple 5 status which celebrates eateries who have maintained a level 5 Food Hygiene Rating across their last three inspections.
Triple 5 status can take 6 years for a business to achieve and is awarded by Worcestershire Regulatory Services, who are responsible for overseeing the National Food Hygiene Safety scheme in the region
The scheme ranks businesses from zero to five based on the food hygiene and safety standards within their kitchens and allows customers to make informed consumer decisions about where they eat.
Coun Kit Taylor, portfolio Holder for regulatory services said: “I am thrilled that so many of these businesses have already achieved Triple 5 status.
“The award itself may have only just launched, but this is testament to these traders, who for the past six years have taken their commitment to food safety very seriously, consistently delivering high standards and care for their customers.
“It is very well deserved. Congratulations.”
