A BOY was punched in the face and was robbed of his mobile phone as he walked to school in Rubery on Monday (September 28).

The incident happened between 8.20am and 8.30am when he was in Rea Avenue.

He was approached by two men who asked him if he had any money or a phone on him.

They then searched his pockets, grabbed his phone and demanded he put in his PIN code.

He put in the incorrect number and they punched him in the mouth, chipping his tooth and causing a small cut.

They then both ran off.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
