Appeal for former Longbridge Austin and MG Rover workers to share their memories and photos for new heritage book

Bromsgrove Editorial 10th Jun, 2021   0

FORMER workers at Longbridge’s Austin and MG Rover car plant are being urged to come forward and share their stories, memories and photographs of life at the factory so they can be compiled in a new book.

It is being created by Pride of Longbridge to keep alive the area’s wonderful heritage and capture those many moments which would otherwise remain untold.

The publication will depict what life at the factory and living in the area was like at the time.

A vlog (video blog) day is being planned for September where people can be filmed retelling their memories and stories.

Email contributions to [email protected] and visit the ‘Longbridge ex workers / community book’ Facebook page for more information.
