THE SINFONIA Dal Capo will play its first concert at Bromsgrove’s St John’s Church at 7pm on Saturday, September 7, writes Ben Workman.
The line-up features renowned players from the Orchestra of St John with violinist Charlotte Moseley directing.
The lack of a conductor makes this the first chamber orchestra of its kind in the West Midlands.
Charlotte Moseley, who said the unique set-up would bring a new perspective to the listener, will also be launching her new CD at the event.
It will feature works for violin and piano by Elgar, Howells, Faure and Kreisler.
This concert will feature Beethoven’s Violin Concerto and Schubert’s Fifth Symphony.
This is the first of five concerts across Worcestershire by the new group, including three in St Matthias Church, Malvern, later this year.
Tickets will be available on the door for £12 for adults and children go free.
Doors open at 6pm.
