THE QUEEN of Scottish comedy is heading to Bromsgrove’s Artrix on February 15 with her latest show.
Janey Godley’s The Soup Pot Tour brings live voice-overs and stand-up with some hilarious patter from Theresa May in Torremolinos, Boris and bawjaws and Sturgeon with all the latest gossip.
The Glasgow-born comedian is fresh from her appearances on the BBC’s Have I Got News for You and Scotland’s Breaking the News.
She has more than 20 years of performing award-winning comedy around the world – from Newcastle to New Zealand, and everywhere in between.
Janey has more than 40million hits online and 6,000+ subscribers to her YouTube channel and, boasting sell-out shows at both the Edinburgh and Glasgow comedy festivals, she has embraced the worldwide web with her hilarious political voice-overs.
This has culminated in her being awarded Best Online Comedy act at the Scottish Comedy Awards 2019.
Janey’s talents are not restricted to stand-up and YouTube, however, she is also a writer and actor.
Last year the short film The Last Mermaid, which Janey both co-wrote and starred in, won the Best British Short Film award at the Winchester Film Festival.
She also took to the screen in Wild Rose, a 2018 feature-length film with Julie Walters.
2020 will also see the release of a new book, written by Janey and published by Hodder.
The Artrix show starts at 8pm, it is suitable for those aged 16 and over and tickets, which are £18, are available by visiting artrix.co.uk or call 01527 577330.
