A CELEBRATED local poet will launch her latest anthology of verse with a special concert at Bromsgrove’s St John’s Church at 10.30am tomorrow (Saturday).

Jenna Plewes will read poems from Pull of the Earth and there will be music performed on the flute and piano by Emily Moseley and her dad Alastair.

Jenna has published several books of her poetry in recent years, inspired by nature, her life experiences and her Christian Faith.

This latest book is a collection of her poems reflecting on her travels around the world and her close encounters with nature.

Signed copies of the book will be available to purchase after the concert which is the latest in the popular series of ‘Cake and Coffee’ events held at the church over the past few months.

Although admission is free, any donations will be gratefully received and the concert, as the name suggests, will be followed by home-made cakes and coffee.
