ALVECHURCH will play Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena in the semi-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup next month.
The game will take place on Wednesday, April 12 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the CBS Arena as Church aim to reach their fourth Birmingham Senior Cup final.
Church beat Aston Villa 5-4 on penalties following a thrilling 5-5 draw in regulation time in the quarter-finals and have also seen off Boldmere St Michaels and Darlaston Town via spot kicks.
Opponents Coventry also won their quarter-final tie on penalties as they saw off city rivals Coventry Sphinx after victories against Coleshill Town and Tamworth in regulation time.
And the Sky Blues have won the competition on three separate occasions with their last final appearance coming in 2006/07 whilst Church last played in the showpiece more recently in 2009/10.
Alvechurch’s Coventry loanees Adel Alabi and Aidan Finnegan are eligible to play for City when the two teams meet next month.
The other semi-final will be contested between West Bromwich Albion and Stourbridge.
