REPORT

In the Premier Division, Rubery Athletico went to Arrow Valley and brought home all three points after winning their match 3-1.

Quinton Athletic beat AFC Thomas Brothers 7-0 – a hat trick each from Liam Truslove and Jordan Murphy, taking themselves within three points of the top two teams.

In the Championship, Abbeydale drew 2-2 with SSS Lions and top place Arrow Spa beat Meadow Park 6-2 with four goals from Shay Palmer.

In League 1, Frankley United take themselves to the top of the table beating Churchfields 8-1 – four of which were scored by Joe Wathen whilst second placed Rednal Bilbao beat Crusaders 4-2.

In League 2, Rubery Memorial beat Astwood Reds 2-0 and Redditch Town went on a goal scoring mission beating Catshill Rangers 10-2 – Ryan Sproston scored five and Brandon Dews got a hat-trick.

Red Star Bromsgrove were not far behind them on the scoring front beating Bartley Reds B 9-0 – five of the goals from super sub Dan Everton.

South Birmingham Activ beat Lydiate Casuals 7-3 taking them to the top of the table – feedback received from this match was ‘a very good battle between two teams and exactly how a football match should be played’ – great work all.

In the third round of the Terry Cup, AFC Walkwood and Feckenham beat Catshill 4-0 and Hizza United progressed to the next round beating Bromsgrove Rangers 3-2. Both winning teams will now be in the quarter-finals of this cup.

In the 2nd round of the Jim Fleeman Cup, Stoke Prior drew 3-3 with FC Redditch after the final whistle when FC Redditch took the next place via penalties again winning 5-4.

FC Redditch will face either Redditch Borough LA or Rubery Memorial in the quarter-finals.

In round 2 of the Dick Parsons Cup, Redditch Borough JW took themselves to the next stage beating Beoley Village 7-1 an another four goals from Jake Donnelly.

In the BCFA Sunday Amateur Cup Oasthouse Athletic travelled to Solihull to beat Solihull Sporting Men’s Lions 7-1.
