SUITABLY spooky activities will be taking place at libraries across Bromsgrove district this half-term, in the run up Halloween.

Bromsgrove Library and Rubery Library have Halloween crafts on at 2.30pm on Monday, October 25, and at 2.30pm on Thursday, October 28.

The activities – suitable for five to ten-year-olds – cost £1 per child and booking is recommended on 01905 822722 as places are limited.

Alvechurch Library is hosting Halloween-themed Baby Bounce and Rhyme storytimes throughout half-term week. They are also taking part in the Scarecrow festival throughout half-term, and will have a full size scarecrow in the library window, which is part of a trail through the village.

Wythall Library is hosting Halloween themed Baby Bounce plus drop in craft activities all week.

Worcestershire County Councillor Matt Dormer said: ”Our libraries are once again opening their doors with lots of activities to keep children entertained during the half term break.

“We know how much our customers missed being able to take advantage of library activities during the pandemic, so I would encourage anyone looking for something creative to do this half term, to see what your local library is offering.”

Families can also find spooky stories in the free e-book service Borrowbox and the latest Halloween editions of children’s magazines like National Geographic Kids, Little Kids MiniMag and Storytime.

Visit worcestershire.gov.uk/libraries for more on what is taking place at the county’s libraries.
