RESIDENTS in the West Midlands have voted Captain Sir Thomas Moore’s fundraising efforts as the most touching moment of 2020.
Over 80 percent decided that the 100-year-old’s fundraiser for the NHS was the shining light in what has been a difficult year.
The weekly clap for NHS professionals, seeing key workers reunited with their loved ones and rainbow paintings in home windows were also moments that touched the region.
The research, by sanitiser brand ZOONO, revealed that residents are also more caring, with over a third admitting they have been brought to tears by a random act of kindness.
