REAPPEAL - More trailers full of waste dumped across Bromsgrove District

Bromsgrove Editorial 6th Aug, 2020   0

THE ENVIRONMENT Agency has reiterated its appeal for information after more trailers full of waste were dumped across Bromsgrove district.

We reported last month how four of the distinctive orange trailers – all similar in appearance – had been left within five miles of each other.

All were left in laybys on major roads.

Now the EA has confirmed there have been a further three incidents of similar trailers left, taking the total to seven.

The first report of an abandoned trailer was on July 12 and officers believe they are linked to the same criminals.

They were all full of household, commercial or industrial rubbish and were all found in laybys next to major roads in the area.

An Environment Agency spokesperson appealed to anyone with any information to contact the 24-hour EA emergency hotline on 0800 80 70 60 or report it anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Officers also urged homeowners and businesses, if they were having waste disposed off, verify the collector is registered to take their waste away as they could be breaking the law if their waste isn’t managed properly.
