Fashionable fun at Bromsgrove's Avoncroft Museum this half-term

Bromsgrove Editorial 14th Feb, 2019   0

AVONCROFT Museum will give children a fashion blast from the past as part of its themed half-term activities, writes Ryan Smith.

‘Who wore it better?’ will have exhibitions showing what was fashionable for ordinary men and women to wear from Anglo Saxon times to the late 20th century.

The youngsters will be able to try on clothes their ancestors would have worn before heading outside to meet costumed volunteers from different eras as part of the ‘Outrageous Fashion – Fab or Fail’ trail.

Several workshops will be available, including making a hat from the past and designing outfits which could be the fashion in the future.

The activities are 90 minutes long and will run in the Guesten Hall at 11am and 1.30pm every day between Tuesday and Friday, February 19 to 22.

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian and activities will need to be pre-booked by calling 01527 831363.
