Police continue their clampdown on illegal and dangerous parking outside Bromsgrove schools

BROMSGROVE Police have been continuing their clampdown on dangerous and illegal parking outside schools across the district.

Yesterday officers PC Durkin and Sgt Bennett were patrolling outside Charford First School, issuing advice notices to those parking on restricted areas.

They tweeted this picture of a car parked on the yellow zig zags along with the message ‘ You could be putting a child’s life at risk’ and the hashtag #thinkbeforeyoupark

The warning notices officers issued spell out the different areas people should avoid parking in during the school run.

In October West Mercia Police launched Operation Lollipop for Bromsgrove District which covers schools in Bromsgrove, Rubery, Hagley, Alvechurch and Wythall.

The police urged people to email them pictures of illegal and dangerous parking outside schools in the district.

In order for the images to be successfully used as evidence, the pictures need to be accompanied by the time, date and location of the vehicle when the photograph was taken.

Residents should send pictures to [email protected]
