BROMSGROVE author Sue Watson has shot to the top of the UK best sellers list with her new novel, writes Ryan Smith.

‘Our Little Lies’ is Sue’s 13th book and sold 30,000 copies in its first three weeks, hitting number five in the US and number one in the Canadian thriller listings. There are also Italian and Polish versions also on their way.

Out Little Lies is a complete contrast to her previous works which have included her award nominated romantic novel ‘We’ll Always Have Paris’ as well as her best selling romantic comedy ‘Love Lies and Lemon Cake’.

Sue, from The Oakalls, said she was pleased with how her first psychological thriller had been received.

“I’ve written lots of humorous books but I’ve always wanted to do a thriller.

“Sometimes I’d be really tempted to sneak a murder into my books but my editor wouldn’t let me and said if I wanted to kill off my characters I should try another genre.

“I love psychological thrillers and crime films so I turned from cake to crime – and I absolutely loved writing it.”
