Morrisons are charging different prices at their petrol stations

A MOTORIST has questioned why there was a 3p difference between the petrol prices being charged by Morrisons at its stations in Bromsgrove and Rubery.

The driver said the Morrisons store in Rubery was charging £1.23 per litre, whilst the Bromsgrove outlet was charging £1.26 recently.

The motorist said: “I can’t believe that two Morrisons so close together can be charging such a difference in prices.

“How can it be that by driving just seven miles you can save 3p-per-litre?

“I have a 55-litre tank which means if it was empty it would be £1.65 more to fill up in Bromsgrove than it is in Rubery.”

A spokesperson for Morrisons said: “We aim to provide the best price locally and this can mean occasionally that price differences between different areas open up.”
