STUDENTS from South Bromsgrove High School staged their Eisteddfod Finale to packed houses.

The event, which sees hundreds of students compete in music (solo and choir), drama, PE and dance, and was the culmination of several weeks of extra work.

There was a massive variety of art entries with Vernon pipping others to the post.

The hall was extended into the restaurant area so the huge audience could be accommodated.

The three house choirs had 200 students each in them.

After the exciting lengthy evening Plymouth was awarded the Music Cup and Talbot the Drama Cup.

The Eisteddfod Cup for 2017 was awarded to Vernon – a close but well deserved win.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Although the competitive tension between the houses was almost off the scale this was, once again, a hugely enjoyable evening, celebrating our fabulous students.”
