This year will be the last the Bromsgrove RBL Women's Section's standards will be on parade

THIS YEAR’S Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday commemorations will be the last time the Women’s Section of the Bromsgrove Royal British Legion will have its own standard on parade.

From the new year the Women’s Section is amalgamating with the men’s so from then on there will be one standard representing the whole branch.

Among the reasons for the changes are an ageing population and dwindling number of members.

A similar situation is happening with the Worcestershire County Royal British Legion. The Women’s Section there is also amalgamating with the men’s.
