THE EVERY Heart Matters drive by Bromsgrove youngster Emily Faulkner, to put a defibrillator in every school in the district, is now at £3,556 after another great weekend of fund-raising.

On Saturday the ten-year-old was at NEW Ravens Rugby League Club which was hosting the Midlands Finals Day.

Emily’s stand, selling her Every Heart Matters clothing range and accessories, along with a guess the amount of sweets and a guess the bear’s name game, raised £93.10.

One of the Ravens’ Juniors Ben Colson asked if he could do some fund-raising at his family party over the weekend and boosted the coffers by a further £102.11 and a donation from Droitwich Tyres and Exhaust increased the total further by £50.

The £245.21 weekend tally and £3,556 overall total means Emily is closing in on her fourth defib and now over a third of the way to her £10,000 target.

Emily’s auntie Gail Fry from Focal Image, which has produced the youngster’s clothing range and accessories at cost for the campaign, said: “She is getting massive support and would like to thank everyone for their help.

“She has got another busy weekend from September 1 to 3 with more fund-raising opportunities planned.”

The Every Heart Matters range can be bought or ordered from Focal Image, Broad Street, Bromsgrove or at www.facebook.com/Everyheartmattersx – the campaign’s Facebook page.

Residents and groups can also visit localgiving.org/fundraising/everyheartmattersx to donate to the cause.
