BROMSGROVE Sporting got their pre-season off to a good start with a convincing win.

As the 12-0 scoreline suggests, the Rouslers dominated the match for most of the 90 minutes with a number of impressive performances, especially from some of the new boys.

Playing on the artificial pitch at Pack Meadow, the home of Coleshill Town, Wade Malley scored the opener on four minutes when he headed home from a corner.

Three minutes later Luke Edwards got the second when he latched on to Chris Lloyd’s corner.

At this point the home side gained a bit of momentum and were unlucky not to get back into the game when Dan Egege hit the bar from 15 yards out in the ninth minute.

Sam Wills made it 3-0 after 15 minutes after beating Chelmsley keeper James Kelly one-on-one before Lloyd added the fourth ten minutes later with a delightful angled drive following a neat run down the left-hand side.

Then prior to the interval, another rally by the hosts saw Edwards head off his own line after Adam Keeley beat Sporting keeper Reece Francis.

Manager Paul Smith made nine changes after half-time and it was on 54 minutes when John Pykett made a good run down the right before calmly placing his shot under substitute keeper Khaleen Hulbert to make it 5-0.

The nippy winger then crossed to Chrisi Conway who buried home the re-bound after seeing his initial shot saved by Hulbert.

Malley scored goal number seven after Liam Spink delivered into the box following a poor clearance.

Former West Bromwich Albion professional Joe Ward made it 8-0 with a tap in with 25 minutes left.

Chelmsley were unlucky to concede the ninth as Spink’s hard shot took a wicked deflection which looped over Hulbert.

However, there was no argument when Conway pulled across back to Ward who had an open goal to score on 77 minutes.

Spink then set-up Conway for his second with eight minutes to go before the former got the 12th on the stroke of full-time with a 20-yard drive.
