RUBERY has been hit with a spate of car thefts in the space of one week.

A grey Ford Focus was stolen without keys from Callowbrook Lane between 10pm and 10.30pm on June 14.

A VW Golf was also stolen during a car key burglary on Leach Heath Lane.

Just after 4am on June 21, thieves removed barrels of the lock on patio doors to gain entry to a house, they stole the keys and drove away in the VW Golf.

The day before, two sets of car keys were stolen from a house on Segbourne Road between 4.30am and 5am on June 20.

The cars weren’t stolen but attempts were made to start one of the cars as the passenger door was open.

The police are advising residents not to leave keys near the front door or in an easily accessible place.

Any witnesses, call the police on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
