Bromsgrove Editorial 5th Jun, 2017   0

A NEWLY refurbished greengrocers in Bromsgrove is branching out to provide residents with more than just fruit and vegetables.

Bromsgrove Fruit and Veg has been under new management since March and provides shoppers with a range of garden ornaments, salad dressings, jams, chutneys, coal, kindling and more.

The Mill Lane business is co-owned by Steve Parkes and his wife Jayne, along with their two sons Jack and Sean.

Steve said: “We are a family-run business that have something different to offer our customers.

“We don’t just sell fruit and veg, we sell Wessex Mill bread flour, bird feeders and tables, timber, kiln dried logs and do chimney sweeping as well.

“Our garden ornaments are made from metal and come in the shape of different animals, such as cockerels, elephants and flamingos.

“We also stock 19 Gales pies which proved popular at Bromsgrove Farmer’s Market.”

The building underwent a refurbishment which Steve said the once outdated look is now ‘quirky and rustic’.

Bromsgrove Fruit and Veg also deliver locally in their vintage Morris J type van.
