Get ‘Back to Netball’ with Bromsgrove club

WOMEN thinking about getting ‘Back to Netball’ can go along to new sessions being offered at the Ryland Centre in Bromsgrove.

Bromsgrove Netball Club will hold the sessions from 8pm to 9pm every Tuesday from next week (September 13).

They will focus on building skills and playing the game in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The club’s regular squad training sessions restart this Tuesday (September 7) – also from 8pm to 9pm at the Ryland Centre.

Club coach Lorraine Millard said: “We’ve had a lot of ladies attend our Back to Netball training who have built up their skills and fitness and progressed to playing in one of our squads.

“It’s wonderful to see so many ladies enjoying the sport – some of our Back to Netball players hadn’t played netball since they were at school 30 years ago, but it’s amazing how it all comes back to you when you pick up that netball.”

Chair of the club Sarah Holland said the club had gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2014 and the squads had been very successful in their respective leagues.

She added it was great to see so many club members enjoying their netball but there was still space for even more women to join them.

“It really is a great sport and brilliant for improving fitness levels.”
