Women robbed with blade in Rednal

TWO WOMEN have been robbed in Rednal by two blade wielding men, whilst with their three young children.

The pair had taken their two eight-year-olds and three-month-old baby to Lickey Hills country Park on Friday (July 1) between 5.30pm and 6.30pm when they were approached by the two men.

The offenders demanded several items from the family and stole a mobile phone, wedding ring, a gold chain and a handbag containing makeup and a large amount of money, before they ran off into the woods.

they were both Asian men, in their early twenties, about 5ft 8ins tall both with a slim build.




One wore grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey hooded top and is believed to have been carrying a small blade.

The other offender wore a dark hooded top and black trousers, which may have been jeans.


Police are now appealing for witnesses and are urging anyone with information to call them on the non emergency 101 number or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
