OUTDOOR activities run for pupils at South Bromsgrove High School have received a boost from the town’s Rotary Club, which presented a cheque for £2,000 for the cause.
The cash was in support of the school’s outdoor education work at Upton Warren.
Every year up to 50 year nine pupils take part in weekly activities including sailing and canoeing, achieving accreditation and developing skills and qualities such as teamwork and resilience.
South Bromsgrove High School’s headteacher Paul Topping said the programme was very important to the pupils.
“I’m determined that we continue to offer as broad an educational experience as possible and we are fortunate to have the superb facilities so close to us.
“The generous support of Rotary will ensure that this provision continues through 2016/17.”
