CASH – in both sterling and US Dollars – was stolen during a burglary in Wythall on Thursday (May 5).

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning and the victim was awoken by two loud bangs on the front door at 3am.

She looked out and saw someone fleeing through the gate of the property.

It is not known which direction the raider – who was wearing dark clothing and had his hood up – ran in.

Police officers reacted quickly to the incident and on arrival saw that the front door of the property had been forced.

It was then that it was noticed the money had been taken.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
