A FAMILY fun day which will give residents the chance to have a go at several sports and activities will be held in Sanders Park next Saturday (April 30).

The event, from 10am to 2pm, will enable those who go along to try their hand at bowls, tennis, golf, football, Nordic Walking, trikes, Tai Chi and more.

All of the sports activities will be open to adults and children, as well as some extra, fun activities for children led by Bromsgrove District Council’s Sports Development coaches.

Coun Rod Laight, whose portfolio covers Leisure and Cultural Services, said: “The open day is set to be a fantastic event with something for every age and generation.

“Come along and try some new sports or activities that you’ve never done before – who knows, you might find your new favourite hobby.”

All the clubs showcasing on the day will have information on their club available to take away, as well as offers for new members.

For more, e-mail the council’s sports development team at [email protected] or call 01527 64252.
