Girls aged five to seven welcome to new Rubery Rainbow Guides unit starting tomorrow

A NEW Rainbow Guide unit for girls aged between five and seven officially open in Rubery tomorrow (Tuesday).

The group is being started by the Beacon Rainbows and will offer a host of new and exciting adventurous activities.

Members can try their hand at challenges such as Rainbow roundabout badges, games, arts and crafts and trips with other Rainbows.

The Rainbow Jigsaw, followed by groups, sees the girls participate in a variety of different activities with others their own age.

The Jigsaw has four parts: Look, Learn, Laugh and Love, which helps them think about how they relate to themselves, each other and the world.

Brown Owl Emma Cartwright said it was really exciting to see Guiding growing in the area.

“A new Rainbow unit will mean that lots more girls will be able to experience the joy of Guiding and begin to learn about the world and their communities.”

The unit will meet on a Tuesday evening at the Beacon Church Centre starting from this Tuesday.
