WORKPLACES across Hereford and Worcestershire have seen a 14.5 increase in the amount of people trained in first aid throughout 2015.

Among the venues with the biggest rises, compared to the previous year, were in Bromsgrove and Redditch.

According to statistics from St John Ambulance, an average of 56 people per week were trained in the two counties during last year.

John Cavanagh, the charity’s training director, said he hoped the trend would continue throughout 2016.
