YOUNSTERS from Play Days Playgroup got to take part in an interactive Nativity at St Stephen’s Church.

It followed the Christmas Fairy who helped a teddy bear learn all about the festive season and ended with Teddy discovering the true meaning of Christmas.

The children, who were all aged between one and four, dressed up and were encouraged to move around the church, playing instruments, singing songs, marching and waving stars whilst following the story.

Revd Steve Jones and church representative Wendy Jones joined the toddlers and helped with the Nativity and afterwards the children had the chance to make Christmas fairies to take home with them to help reinforce the story they had learnt.

The session ended with playtime, snack time, pass the parcel and Christmas circle time.

Jules Kite-Lightfoot said it was a lovely way to introduce the youngsters to the church environment and the Nativity story.

“It was a very relaxed enjoyable session.”
