STAFF and customers have been raising a glass of bubbly to Robinson Opticians in Rubery to celebrate its first anniversary.
Since taking on the premises last summer, new owners Ian Robinson and wife Emma have already refurbished the practice, replaced the frontage and expanded its services with the addition of a chiropodist.
The New Road premises, rebranded from the former Troth Opticians, has enjoyed a 60-year history of serving local people.
Ian said: “People in the village are friendly and the Troth clients have remained loyal.
“During the past 12 months we have already made significant changes, installing up-to-date clinical equipment, introducing stylish new frame lines and updating décor.
“It’s great to be celebrating our first birthday here.”
