BUSINESSES and organisations from across Bromsgrove, Rubery and Droitwich which appeared in our Remembrance Sunday feature pages in today’s Standard have helped raise £605 for this year’s Poppy Appeal.

That cash will now be sent to the Royal British Legion (RBL) so it can offer help and support to servicemen and women and their families.

Editor Tristan Harris said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to all of the local businesses who took part.

“Yet again you have helped beat last year’s record total meaning even more cash will go to helping the RBL with the crucial work it does, assisting the armed forces community.”
