CELEBRATIONS of Longbridge’s motoring past will be held today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).

As part of the event visitors will be able to look around the MG museum, view slideshows about Birmingham’s lost industries, see displays from local historians and explore community, heritage and craft stalls.

People will also be able to visit Lord Austin’s Office and have the chance to write in the POL memory book and celebrate the great that comes out of Longbridge and its surrounding areas.

The event is being opened by district chair Coun Peter Griffiths and Coun Andy Cartwright, the chair of the Longbridge Ward.

It will be held at the MG Sales Centre, on Lowhill Lane in Rednal, between 1pm and 7.30pm on both days.

The celebration has been organised as part of Birmingham’s Heritage week in partnership with MG, Pride of Longbridge (POL), Keith from Birmingham Lives and Gemma Cartwright MBE.
