HUNDREDS of pounds were stolen after The Grove pub on Bromsgrove High Street was broken into between 10.25pm Sunday night (September 6) and 12.39am on Monday morning (September 7).

After forcing open the back door of the pub to gain access, cash was taken from two gaming machines, from a pool table, from tills and cash boxes.

The burglary was discovered by a member of staff when he turned up to clean the pub.

It is estimated that more than £500 was stolen in total.

Police officers are currently studying CCTV footage as part of their investigation and two white men were seen leaving the area at 11.59pm on Sunday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw two men in the area around that time are urged to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
