YOUNGSTERS from Rubery took a walk on the wild side when they went on a trip to Dudley Zoo and Castle.

The children from Jellybabies Nursery got to see a host of animals, including monkeys, giraffes, meerkats and crocodiles during the outing.

They also attended the ‘Under Fives Pirate and Princess Picnic Party’ where they were able to take part in cake decorating and have their photographs taken with popular children’s characters – Peppa Pig, Minions and Olaf and Elsa from Frozen.

The trip tied in with animal themes explored at the nursery by the youngsters through books, including Jumble in the Jungle and Dear Zoo.

Jacqueline Walker, nursery and pre-school manager, said: “This was a wonderful day enjoyed by all.”
