TWO BROMSGROVE cafes have been praised after joining the Fairtrade cause.
The Regency Café and The Art Café, both located in the town centre, supported the environmental movement during Fairtrade Fortnight by stocking and selling Fairtade drinks and biscuits.
Liz Turton, the owner of The Regency Café, said: “We are delighted to support Fairtrade in Bromsgrove by selling lovely cakes, tea and hot chocolate knowing that our customer’s choices are making a positive difference to other people’s lives.”
Debbie Parker, from The Art Café, added: “Fairtade supports economic growth in other countries and the producer gets a fair price for their product, enabling them to invest further in their business, support their families and communities and we are glad to be a part of it.”
Barbara Hayes, from Fairtrade Bromsgrove, said: “We are really pleased local cafes support Fairtrade.
“Eight cafes in the town centre display the Fairtrade sign and I would encourage everyone to try out the delicious Fairtrade products available.”
