Bromsgrove families sought for return of children's TV classic Fun House

BROMSGROVE and Rubery families are being sought to take part in classic children’s TV show Fun House which is making a return.

Two pubs in the area – The New Tardebigge on Hewell Lane and the Horse and Jockey in Wythall – will be bringing back the popular 90s programme for one day only after the company which runs them Fare and Square teamed up with former presenter  Pat Sharp and the twins.

The firm is now looking for four teams to compete in the contest on June 13 and make their way through each round to go head-to-head in the final.

This time, parents will be able to participate too and the mum or dad and child team will be in with a chance to win a £1,000 family holiday – provided they can show they are the best after taking on the gunge tank, quiz, the go karts race and of course, the Fun House.

James Morrall, general manager of the New Tardebigge, said he was thrilled to be bringing back Fun House.

“It’s about time mums and dads had some fun too, and so we’re not only offering a heap of nostalgia for the parents, but also a chance for them to take part and get messy.

“We’re expecting lots of entries and can only choose four teams of two to take part in our Family Fun House event, so we would encourage families to shout about how wacky their family is when applying.”
