Bromsgrove woman readies for World's Biggest Coffee Morning

A LONG-TERM Macmillan supporter is gearing up for their annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Julie Whyte has been raising money for the charity for 14 years and will once again be taking part on September 26, along with colleagues at Benniman Ltd in Bromsgrove.

She said Macmillan had played a huge part in her life for the last 14 years and it was a charity she held very close to my heart.

“Macmillan was there for me and my family when we felt that our world was crumbling around us – without Macmillan our world would be a very different place.

“I call them my angels, as they gave us all strength to carry on when the odds were against us.

“My aim is to be able to raise awareness of Macmillan’s facilities within our local community not just for the patient, but family and friends too.

“I am practising my cakes in preparation for my World’s Biggest Coffee Morning this September and trying them out on my work colleagues.

“I hope it will bring us a step closer to Macmillan being able to continue their superb work in helping someone on their cancer journey.”

Visit coffee.macmillan.org.uk or call 0845 602 1246 for more information about taking part.
