THE NATIONAL Poet of Wales Gillian Clarke was the guest speaker at WORDS’ 35th anniversary celebrations.
During the evening at Artrix she read some of her work and spoke about Dylan Thomas.
A special birthday cake was cut by three founding members of the group – Kate Shaw, Margaret Cooper and Jennie Mcgregor Smith – and Gillian penned a special commissioned poem entitled Words to mark the marvellous milestone.
