Diamond day held for former Rednal Scouts

REDNAL scouts will be celebrating their diamond anniversary with a special reunion tomorrow (Saturday).

Former members of the 191st Birmingham – St Stephens Rednal Scout Group – have been invited to attend the event and reminisce about the old days and how times have changed in the last 60 years.

Ex-members have asked anyone with any tales to tell or old photographs to show off to go along and enjoy a drink, a chat, music and a raffle.

Jacky Porter, group scout leader, said: “It should be a good evening catching up with old faces and members – I am really looking forward to it and hopefully people from further afield will attend.

“We hope as many ex-members of the group will turn up as possible – they don’t necessarily have to be scouts just anybody who was involved with the Rednal group.”

The night will begin at 7.30pm at the Rubery British Legion and it is a adult only event.
