Google Street View helps Frankley RSPCA centre give guided tours

ANIMAL lovers curious to see the inner workings of the RSPCA’s Frankley centre can now take a virtual tour on Google Street View.

The joint animal centre and hospital is the first of charity’s buildings, and possibly the first animal hospital in the world, to open its virtual doors.

People will now be allowed to look inside the centre’s corridors, treatment rooms and rehoming sections which normally would have been out of bounds to them.

Hospital director Rebecca Willby said she hoped it would result in more people visiting the centre in person.

She added: “For the first time people can have a fascinating fly on the wall experience of the facilities and activities at the new RSPCA welfare facility.

“By going behind the scenes it provides a transparent view of the excellent standards of equipment and care that the animals experience.”
