LICKEY End Working Men’s Club will be awash with cowboys and cowgirls next month when a barn dance will be held for the Primrose Hospice.

Although the event is now completely sold out, organiser Jane Smith is appealing for local businesses and residents to come forward to donate prizes for the raffle and auction on the evening.

Jane is also hoping someone can provide a wheelbarrow as she has a quirky idea for one of the prizes.

The Primrose Hospice’s community fund-raiser Lucy Baylis said: “I would like to thank Jane for organising this event in behalf of Primrose Hospice, we really appreciate all the help we can get.

“It’s more than enough that Jane volunteers for us, but I am delighted that she has dedicated even more of her time to supporting us and I’m also very excited to attend – yeehaa.”

Anyone wanting to donate prizes for the raffle or auction can call Jane on 07929 312754 or Primrose Hospice fund-raising team on 01527 889796.
