TOM Daccus enjoyed a memorable debut for Bromsgrove Rovers AFC after he scored four goals in a 7-1 thrashing of FC Stratford to move the Greens up to third in the table, writes Neil Gordon.

Daccus scored twice either side of the interval coupled to strikes by Bailey Depper-Gwilliams and Alex Hopper at Spring Lane, plus an own goal, as on-fire Rovers made it 31 goals scored in just eight games.

The result lifts Rovers to third in Division One of the Birmingham and District Football League on 28 points, having collected 21 points out of a possible 24 from their last eight fixtures.

Sutton United remain top of the table on goal difference from second-placed Desi, with both teams on 35 points, and with the top three sides having played 15 games each.

And the victory marked the Greens’ ninth league win of the season as the side continues to adjust to playing in Division One having been competing in Division Two last season, and Division Three just two seasons ago.

Bromsgrove play Hollyfields at the Hollyfields Conference and Sports Centre, on Tuesday, May 5. Kick-off is 6.50pm and admission free.
