ALVECHURCH conceded at the death in an agonising 2-1 defeat away at Banbury United with the club hovering above the relegation zone.
Church conceded twice in the final 10 minutes at Spencer Stadium after Felix Miles had put the visitors ahead with his first goal for the club.
However, Nico Jones drew Banbury level nine minutes from time before Connor Ferguson struck six minutes into injury time to condemn Church to a late defeat.
The result means Alvechurch sit 17th in the Southern League Premier Central table, above the relegation zone on goal difference.
After a goalless first period, the visitors eventually broke the deadlock on 68 minutes when Miles saw his shot squirm through Banbury goalkeeper Jack Harding and into the net as Zac Guinan made sure the ball crossed the line.
Guinan only lasted a few more minutes after the striker suffered a deep cut on his knee which saw him stretchered from the field and led to 10 minutes of injury time.
However, the home side equalised on 81 minutes as Jones swept home from a prone postition from close range after a game of pinball broke out in the Church penalty area following a corner from the left.
And Banbury stunned Church deep into injury time when Ferguson curled a shot into the bottom left corner after Josh Dugmore saw his attempted clearance charged down.
Alvechurch are next in action against Kettering Town on Tuesday, March 10 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Latimer Park.
