BROMSGROVE RFC secured back-to-back wins for the first time since the turn of the year with a bonus point 35-15 victory against Banbury.
A last gasp try from Harvey Shaw secured a bonus point for the Boars while Jordan Maddocks crossed twice and Oli Ingram also dotted down at Finstall Park.
And Tom Mitchell added 15 points from the kicking tee to guide the home side to an impressive victory.
The result means Bromsgrove sit third in the Regional 1 Midlands table.
Banbury started the brighter of the teams and took an early lead with a well-worked try in the corner.
However, the Boars responded when Mitchell kicked a penalty before Ingram crossed for the home side’s first try
And Bromsgrove crossed again soon after as Maddocks dotted down and Mitchell kicked the extras.
The two teams exchanged a penalty apiece before the interval to send the Boars into the break a 10-point lead.
Banbury closed the gap after the break with the first try of the second half.
However, Mitchell kicked a penalty just past the hour mark to put the Boars two scores ahead.
Maddocks made sure of the points with his second try four minutes from time after outpacing a Banbury defender down the left wing.
And the Boars dotted down again from the restart as Shaw dove over in the corner to claim a bonus point try.
Bromsgrove are next in action against unbeaten league champions Syston on Saturday, March 22 with kick-off at 3pm at Barkby Road.
