Deadline approaching on business grants in Bromsgrove and villages

Bromsgrove Editorial 7th Feb, 2024   0

JUST a couple of weeks remain for businesses in Bromsgrove to secure grant funding to revamp existing ventures or spark new ones.

Bromsgrove District Council’s Centres Enhancement Grant Scheme aims to provide funds to improve shop frontages or help entrepreneurs set up in a new vacant unit.

It will close for applications on February 16 with hopes to help as many businesses breath life back into Bromsgrove’s retail centres.

The fund has been supported by the goverments UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Deputy leader and portfolio holder for economic development and regeneration, Ccouncillor Sue Baxter, said: “We are really pleased that so many retailers have already signed up to get their share of this grant funding, which will lead to numerous projects to revitalise our district centres.

“There’s plenty more to go around so please apply today and make your business dreams a reality.”

Considerations for applications will focus on occupations of previously empty retail units, improvements to frontages such as new signange, windows, and entrance doors, and improving the accessibility of occupied units.

Priority will be given to properties located within Bromsgrove Town Centre and Rubery Village but will also be considered for applications from Alvechurch Village, Aston Fields, Barnt Green, Catshill, Hagley, and Wythall as well.
