A NURSERY group which has childcare settings in Northfield, Rubery, Hagley and Quinton, have raised £2,200 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The cash was donated by the Cotton Tails and Cotton Tails Too parents and staff and was collected by Elysa Cooper, the hospital’s regional fund-raiser at a special presentation on Friday.
Nursery manager Lisa Daniels said: “This amazing donation will go to the play department at the hospital.
“This hospital is so important to all of the hundreds of children that go through its doors on a daily basis.”
To date over the last 32 years, the Cotton Tails group has managed to raise more than £40,000, including the generous donation of its resident owl.
Lisa added: “We do also have a very special plaque as you walk through the doors at the hospital, however we are also very pleased that we are being put forward to be Charity Champions for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital so we can continue to support this amazing place.
“Over the years we have supported individual departments but also main areas of need, such as play which we feel is very essential to every child – no matter whether they are poorly or not.
“Thank you once again for all your support towards this brilliant hospital, it is very much needed.”
