Bromsgrove Sporting slashes ticket prices for disabled fans

Bromsgrove Editorial 20th Oct, 2023   0

BROMSGROVE Sporting has announced it will immediately be slashing ticket prices by £2 for all supporters with disabilities.

Disabled supporters seeking a discount when entering the ground will be asked to show a copy of their entitlement to the care or mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

They could also show entitlement to the Daily Living or Mobility component of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

New Rouslers chairman Brian Seymour-Smith replaced Mike Burke in the role after the latter agreed to step down from the role in August.

He heads a three-man consortium alongside Paul Molesworth and Craig Cotterill.

Upon taking over, Mr Seymour-Smith vowed to improve facilities at the club with promotion to the National League North a long-term goal.

He said: “As a consortium, we made it clear that we would look at every aspect of the club and this, of course, includes ticket pricing.

“We felt it was only right that a concessionary price should be introduced at the gates for our disabled supporters.

“This concession is offered at practically every other ground in the country and it is only right we do the same.

“We would like to thank our disabled supporters for their continued support and hope this helps a little financially to enable them to come to our games.”
