A WARNING has been issued by Northfield firefighters after a blaze caused by a laptop.
The computer was left on soft furnishings which caught alight because of the heat generated by the computer.
The fire crew said the impact was ‘devastating’ and have urged people to ensure electrical equipment which gets hot is put on a hard surface.
The firefighters added: ‘Luckily, no one was hurt, but smoke damage was severe!’
