THIS year’s Forget-Me-Not Walk looks set to raise well over £6,000 for Bloodwise Bromsgrove.

The event, on June 5, began at Sanders Park and gave participants the chance of walking one, three, five, eight or 12 miles.

The courses took people through the picturesque Worcestershire countryside, including the village of Dodford and Chaddesley Wood Nature Reserve.

On the day, there were 130 walkers for the event – with 45 of those signing up on the day.

There were t-shirts for all adults who took part and medals for the children.

Organiser Nicole Harris said: “It was a great day – we had lovely weather again and the amount we raised was fantastic.

“I’m grateful to everyone who took part and all the people helping out on the day, such as the marshalls, who made it such a success.”

She added when all the cash was in, the total Bloodwise Bromsgrove had collected for the cause over the years should be at £935,000.

“We’re getting ever closer to our £1million target,” she said.
