A CHARITY ball organised for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research has been hailed a great success after raising more than £1,400 for the cause.

The event, held at the Holiday Inn in Bromsgrove, featured a three-course meal, followed by a thank you from Nancy Doyle and a talk by Jo Parish about how the cash would be spent on researching cancers and finding cures.

The event was organised by mother and daughter Jacquie Eaton and Laura Crowle after they experienced the tragic loss of a friend’s daughter who died last year at just 24 from Lymphoma.

Jacquie has also worked with Nancy Doyle as a hypnotherapist at the Nancy Doyle clinic.

Nancy was diagnosed with Lymphoma in May and has undergone intensive chemotherapy.

Jacquie said: “The evening went really well and finished at 1am after a night of dancing to a band and DJ.”

As well as the £1,400, an added £250 was collected for Beth’s Inspiration.

“That was set up in honour of my friend Sue’s daughter Beth to raise money so that children in hospital with cancer could be provided with iPads and to provide short breaks for young children and their families.”
